How To Remove Your Bubblews Articles And Publish Them On Another Site?

Wednesday, October 17, 2018
Also known as, "Moving Articles From The Site-That-Shall-Not-Be-Named? Here's 1 Way To Do It".

Planning to move articles from the site-that-shall-not-be-named (also known as Bubblews, but you knew that already, didn't you πŸ˜ƒ)? Anyway, here's one method of removing and moving your posts from that site and putting them elsewhere (also known as here on Persona Paper. Well, you can put them anywhere you want like another writing site or your own website or blog).

bubblews, persona paper, writing sites, blogs, file dmca, check for plagiarism, google removal tool, webmaster tools, tutorial, informational article

Copy your article

Anyway, let's get started. First, before deleting a post from that site, copy the text elsewhere. You can put it on a word document or save it as a draft on Persona Paper (or whichever site or blog you want to post it to), but don't publish it yet.

Check for plagiarism

After copying the contents of your post from Bubblews to another site, you can check to see if it has been plagiarized. One way of doing this is by going to the Google search engine. Copy the title of your article then paste it on the Google search bar. Add quotation marks (" ") before and after the text then click the "search" button.

Your Bubblews article should show up. It should be the only one that will show up. If other articles show up, then it's possible that your post has been plagiarized. Check out those other articles to confirm.

Aside from using the title of your article, you can also copy text from the rest of your article and check Google to see if parts of it have been plagiarized.

File DMCA and don't delete your post if you've been plagiarized

If your post has been plagiarized, then file a DMCA, and don't delete your article from Bubblews yet.

Delete your article, copy the URL link

If your post hasn't been plagiarized, or if you've already taken care of those who've plagiarized you, then it's now time to head back to Bubblews (just for a short while). You can now delete your post from there, but be sure to save a copy of the URL link.

Go to Google Webmaster Tools

After doing that, go to this link - https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/removals?pli=1. This will take you to a login page where you'll be prompted to log on to your Google Account. After logging in, the link will automatically take you to the removals part of your Google Webmaster Tools account.

Request removal

On this page, you can see a textbox, and this is where you will enter the URL link of the Bubblews article that you just deleted. Click on the request removal button.

De-index your article from the search engines

The page will refresh and you will see the URL link you just entered listed below alongside the word "pending". Now, all you need to do is wait for your article to be de-indexed by the search engines. In my experience, this takes about a day or less. You'll know it's already been de-indexed when you see the word "pending" replaced with the word "removed".

Post on Persona Paper

After seeing that, you can now post your article on Persona Paper (or whichever site or blog you want to publish it on). If you have any questions about this, feel free to ask πŸ˜ƒ.

Here are some of the comments from this article, back when it used to be posted elsewhere:

I deleted them and then I waited few months until they disappeared from search engines and then republished them on my blog.

Ah, I see. I've also started to delete mine. But I used the Google Removal Tool to get them de-indexed faster so they can be published on other sites faster. For those who don't mind waiting, they don't have to use the removal tool since, as you say, the search engines will naturally de-index the deleted articles when they find the 404 or "page not found" pages.

Shadi replied to FreyaYuki on January 7, 2015, 12:06 PM
I didn't know you can de-index them before reading your post. I thought that option is available only for site owners. I will look up Google Removal Tool.

If you have a Google Account, you can access the Google Removal Tool. Even if you don't own the site, as long as the article you want removed from the search engines has already been deleted and removed from the site, you can use the removal tool.

freyayuki Thanks for the very detailed procedure. I have completed step one, I have a copy of all my posts already, so this will come handy to continue the process of moving my content in the next few weeks/months.

You're welcome. I'm also taking things slowly, so I still have some posts there, but I've moved quite a number already.

This is excellent advice. I found an item I had written was plagairised by entering it into a search box; I forgot where I'd posted it. Up came a site I never saw before, and there, on that site, was my article! Exactly it! I contacted the site Admin and it was removed. I think periodically doing the 'search' as you suggested is the wisest thing, and I will be doing it. As to the scam, sorry, site that shall not be named, despite all the complaints; (the most successful have been made to the SF BBB....that is the San Fransisco Better Business Bureau. Apparently, everyone who complained there was paid.

Sadly, if you do a Compete.com you'll find that it has over 200k hits where other writing sites have 30k or less.

Sorry to hear about your article being plagiarized. Glad you got it removed. Yeah, checking your articles for plagiarism every once in a while is recommended though it can be time-consuming especially if you already have a lot of posts online. Heard about the BBB too and how many tried it. Will look into it too. It's too bad about the hits although, since many appear to be leaving the site already, maybe the number will soon decrease.

Wow, this is very informative, and well put together, but I shan´t bother bringing anything over here from there, too much messing about.

FreyaYuki replied to Hollyhocks100 on January 7, 2015, 12:15 PM
Thanks. You can put them on other sites and blogs too, if you like.

Thanks for some useful advice. I've bookmarked this post for when I need the information about de-indexing my articles. I didn't know one could do that.

You're welcome. If you have any questions, feel free to ask πŸ˜ƒ.

So far this has worked well. I'm taking it slow deleting articles as I want to reread the comments and see if there are any I want to save, but so far I've got three articles de-indexed and another pending. I wouldn't have known I could do this without your help :)

well i have a question for you, i am not sure but is it legal to delete your articles from other sites that you belong too? are there any rules regarding this? i always though once yup publish some where it belongs to that site, now i could be wrong but i am just looking for answers, also do you have to delete it from the other site before moving it here?

FreyaYuki replied to grandma20121 on January 14, 2015, 7:47 AM
This actually depends on which site you're talking about. On some sites (for example: Persona Paper, Bubblews, HubPages, Writedge, Daily Two Cents, etc), you own the copyright to your content. So you can do whatever you want with your articles including deleting them from those sites. You can check out a site's terms of service or terms of use to see what their policies are regarding this matter.

If you want to move articles from one site to another, you should delete them from the site where you originally posted them first. This is to prevent duplicate content. Some sites will require you to do that first before you republish your articles on their site. Hope this helped. πŸ˜ƒ If you have any more questions, feel free to ask.
