Before, this is what happens every time I log on to Daily Two Cents – I would get taken straight to the dashboard where I can see and find all the links that I need.For example, if I want to write a new article or if I want to see my profile page, etc, then all I need to do is click on the appropriate links to get to where I want.

But things have changed and you can easily see that even before you log on to Daily Two Cents (DTC).First of all, the log in link that I had (http://dailytwocents. com/wp-login.php) redirected to another page: http://dailytwocents. com/profile-2/login/.
The log in page used to look exactly like its Writedge (also a writing site like DTC) counterpart – very clean and plain.
All you can see are the textboxes where you need to input your username and password as well as the sign in button and the site logo.
There isn’t anything else on this page, not even ads, so you won’t end up being distracted or accidentally clicking something else. Once you enter all the required information, you’ll get taken straight to the DTC dashboard.

The new DTC login page doesn’t look plain or clean at all. Aside from the textboxes where you need to type your username and password, there are many other things that you can find on this page including ads and the DTC menu and header.Once you log in, you get taken to your profile page (which is also new, but let’s not get into that now).
Where’s the Daily Two Cents dashboard?
When this happened for the first time, I felt a little panicked because I didn’t know how to get to the DTC dashboard.My internet was acting up, so I didn’t see the big button (with the words "click here to write new post") or the black header bar (where, if you hover your mouse on "Daily Two Cents," you can see a drop-down menu with the link to your dashboard) right away.
Everything looked rather messy and quite confusing, so I was very glad when I finally saw the aforementioned links. Needless to say, I went straight to my dashboard and was very happy to see it.
Fastest way to get to the DTC dashboard?
Now, I wonder if there’s a way to make it so that when I log in to the site, I’ll get taken straight to my dashboard just like how it is in Writedge (hope things don’t change there as well)? I also wonder why things had to change for DTC?Guess I got too used to how it used to look and how we got taken to the dashboard first (you can access the profile page from there by clicking on the appropriate link) so this change seems odd.
It looks like it might take me a while to get used to this change. What about you? What do you think? Do you prefer to see your DTC dashboard first or your profile page?
